Fibromyaligia Syndrome (FMS)

Fibromyalgia Syndrome – FMS (also called ME, fibrositis or fibromyositis) is a syndrome that causes chronic, sometimes debilitating muscle pain and fatigue. FMS can often be similar to the pain that is experienced by people who have arthritis although the joints are not affected.  FMS affects mostly women, between the ages of 35 to 60 years, however, it can also affect children.

Insomnia and Sleep Difficulties
An estimated one third of Australians suffer from some form of insomnia. Depression and sleep difficulties go hand-in-hand. As many as eighty-five per cent of people with depression have some sleeping difficulties, and research has shown that persistent insomnia can also cause depression, and relapses in people who have had depression in the past.
